Guide to mail order/telephone order processing



If you wish to accept orders via telephone, fax or mail order and do not own your own call centre software, then you will need to use our virtual terminal.

In order to process payments through the virtual terminal, you will need an internet connection. You will also need to obtain a mail order telephone order (MOTO) merchant number from your merchant bank. For more information on the merchant banks we work with please click here.

The VSP Terminal is simple to set up, and because it is hosted by Protx no integration is required. To apply to use the terminal, simply fill out our online application form and select the option VSP Terminal Only.

If you already have an ecommerce account with Protx, you can add your MOTO merchant number to your existing Protx account at no extra charge by emailing support@protx.com

How it works:
To access the VSP terminal and take a payment, you simply log in using your secure vendor name, user name and password details. You can have as many members of staff as you like accessing the same system at the same time, and different staff can be given different levels of access.

Our virtual terminal negates the need to rent a physical terminal to process your payments.

VSP Admin is also included in your terminal account; a comprehensive account administration and reporting tool designed to help you to manage your orders and reconciliation.
